Med Pocket: Syria's First Pharmaceutical App
Brand identity design in Syria: a logo and robot character, app interfaces, and social media and ads
Dmantra Digital Marketing has worked with Med Pocket since the app was founded, and the partnership continues today. This project is an example of our work in brand identity design in Syria: building a complete brand from scratch, from the logo and the "Pocket" robot character to colours, typography and patterns, then designing the app interfaces and managing its social media presence.

About Med Pocket
Med Pocket is the first pharmaceutical app in Syria, and it presents itself to users as "your personal medical assistant". It brings together medicines and imported medicines, skincare and personal care, dental and baby supplies, and medicinal herbs, alongside practical tools such as a drug guide, a pharmacist directory, adding a medicine, order tracking, a wallet and invoices. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play.
The challenge for a pharmaceutical app is to combine trust with warmth: users need to feel safe ordering their medicine, while enjoying a friendly experience that feels nothing like a cold clinic. That balance was the starting point of our work. It is exactly the kind of brief where brand identity design in Syria has to work harder than usual.
What Dmantra Delivered for Med Pocket
Brand Identity and Logo
We designed the logo and the full identity guide: the letter M drawn as two capsules, a robot character that gives the brand its soul, a sky blue (#2EBAF3) that signals cleanliness and trust, and the Azo Sans and GE SS Two typefaces for English and Arabic. Learn about our branding and graphic design service.
App Interface Design
We designed the app interfaces in the same identity: a home screen with clear illustrated sections, a bottom bar leading to the wallet, orders, add medicine, pharmacist directory and drug guide, and an invoice screen that clearly shows each medicine, quantity, price and total. Learn about our web and app development service.
Social Media and Ads
We manage the app's social media presence with content that mixes feature highlights, health awareness and occasions, supported by paid campaigns that invite people to download the app. Learn about our social media marketing service.

Identity Applications

Social Media Designs

Pocket: The Robot That Became the Face of the Brand
Instead of a silent logo, we gave Med Pocket a character that speaks. The robot "Pocket" introduces itself with "Hi.. my name is Pocket! I'm ready to be your personal assistant", and has a set of expressions that change with the situation, from a big smile to mild sadness when a user forgets their medicine, as in the "Pocket Cares" idea comparing "took the pill" with "didn't take the pill".
The same character appeared in the Valentine's Day design with "We love to keep you healthy", and in the pandemic awareness campaign with "It's covid, wear a mask". The identity stopped being a set of rules on paper and became a living voice that accompanies users in the app and on social media.
How We Approach Brand Identity Design in Syria
Our approach to brand identity design in Syria starts with one question: what feeling should this name leave in people's minds? For Med Pocket the answer was the trust of a pharmacy and the closeness of a friend. That is where the pairing of the capsule, a direct pharmaceutical symbol, and the robot, a friendly character, came from.
We then turn the idea into a usable system: a logo built on the golden ratio with versions for light and dark backgrounds, a colour palette, Arabic and English typefaces, and an irregular capsule pattern used on packaging, posters and stationery. That system is what makes every later design feel part of one family.
Finally, we test the identity where it will actually live: the app icon on a phone screen, the user interfaces, social media posts and print. In our view, that stage is what separates a nice logo from a successful project in brand identity design in Syria.
What Makes This Project Stand Out
It is a complete project, from idea to screen. Because our work with Med Pocket began at launch, the logo, the robot character, the app interfaces and the content all came from one vision. Even the logo construction followed the rules of the golden ratio to reach a balance that is easy on the eye, a detail that reflects how we approach brand identity design in Syria.

Makes everything better
About Choco Swamp
Choco Swamp is a brand dedicated to chocolate desserts, from cake slices drenched in hot chocolate sauce to chocolate rolls and the Bûche de Noël for the holiday season. Its tagline, "Makes everything better", sums up the whole idea: a piece of chocolate can improve any moment.
The logo features a playful brown and red character, which helped us build light, friendly content for an audience that usually buys desserts on impulse or to celebrate an occasion.

Our Work for Choco Swamp: Product Photography

Seasons in Choco Swamp Content
Desserts are a seasonal product, and demand rises with holidays and occasions. So we gave the Christmas and New Year season a full photo session: a chocolate Bûche de Noël on a white table, surrounded by pine cones and red ornaments, in a scene that feels like the holidays before a single word is read.
For the rest of the year, the bold red image with flowing chocolate sauce is the brand's visual signature, so followers recognise a Choco Swamp post at first glance, even before they see the name. That kind of visual consistency matters in chocolate shop marketing in Damascus, where many pages show similar products.
How We Approach Chocolate Shop Marketing in Damascus
In chocolate shop marketing in Damascus, we believe chocolate sells through the eyes first. The decision to buy a dessert is usually made in seconds, and what settles it is a photo that clearly shows the texture, the shine and the layers of the cake. So we start with the image and build the copy and the ad around it.
We plan content around a calendar of occasions: Christmas and New Year, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the religious holidays, alongside everyday posts that present the core range. That keeps the brand present at the moment people think about buying a gift or a dessert to celebrate.
We track how the audience responds to each product and each type of image, and steer paid campaigns toward what performs best. That ongoing review is what we see as the essential success factor in any plan for chocolate shop marketing in Damascus.
What Makes This Project Stand Out
A clear visual personality built with simple tools: a red backdrop, glossy chocolate and a playful logo. One highlight was the Bûche de Noël, a French Christmas cake whose history you can read on Wikipedia, presented in a way that suits Damascene homes during the holiday season.

About Action Pizza
Action Pizza is a Damascus restaurant serving a full range of pizzas, from pepperoni to family sizes and special shapes like the heart pizza, alongside fries with sauces and mozzarella fries. The name carries energy and speed, and that shows in the brand: a geometric black and red logo, and bold designs with heavy type.
Most of its audience are young people and families looking for a meal to share, whether at the restaurant, on a picnic or during a night in. That is why our work treated pizza as a shared meal rather than a single plate. That idea shaped every part of our pizza restaurant marketing in Damascus for the brand.

Messages from Action Pizza Campaigns
One of the standout campaign ideas was "Pizza Picnic": we took the pizza from the restaurant table to an open-air picnic, with a red gingham cloth and friends sharing slices, so pizza became part of a day off rather than just a quick order. The fries got their own short line, "Sauce it up!", inviting people to try the different sauces.
The discount card carried the name "Triple Action" with 15% off, in a black and red design that matches the brand. It works as a reason for customers to come back, and it connects the print materials to the digital campaigns.
How We Approach Pizza Restaurant Marketing in Damascus
Our approach to pizza restaurant marketing in Damascus starts from the product itself. Pizza is usually ordered for a group, so we photograph it in a group setting, on a family table, at a picnic or on a night in, and followers can picture themselves and their friends in the frame.
We focus on the moments of taste you can see: stretching cheese, golden crusts, sauce on fries. These details are what stop people while they scroll, and they give paid ads a better chance of earning a click and an order. In pizza restaurant marketing in Damascus, those few seconds of attention decide whether a post works.
We also tie the digital content to print materials and in-store offers, so the experience is connected from the first post to the visit. We keep reviewing posts and campaigns to see what actually drives orders, and we see that as the essential success factor in any plan for pizza restaurant marketing in Damascus.
What Makes This Project Stand Out
A wide range of deliverables under one identity: food photos, social designs, print materials and a motion video, all in the same colours and the same spirit. Pizza is one of the most popular dishes in the world, as its history on Wikipedia shows, so the challenge was to give Action Pizza a personality that stands out in a market full of choices.

About Jeddo Abou Emad
Jeddo Abou Emad is a Damascus restaurant serving shawarma, grilled chicken, broasted chicken and family meals with fries, rice and sauces. The name carries the whole idea: "Jeddo" means grandpa, and this is grandpa's kitchen, welcoming his grandchildren with a hot plate and a kind word.
That personality became the starting point for everything we built. The restaurant does not speak to "customers" but to its "grandchildren". Grandpa appears in the logo, in the designs and in the voice of every post, which gives the brand a familiar tone that is hard to copy in a crowded restaurant market. That consistency is the foundation of our shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus.

Food Photography

The Jeddo Abou Emad Website
We did not want a standard website with rigid menus, but an extension of the brand's personality. So every section is named in grandpa's voice, and the copy uses the same warm Damascene dialect followers already know from the restaurant's posts, with lines like "When you crave a good bite... remember grandpa's house is always open". Today the website is a core part of our shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus, because it is where people land when they search for the restaurant on Google.
Messages from Jeddo Abou Emad Campaigns
The campaigns are built on grandpa's relationship with his grandchildren. When the restaurant launched its YouTube channel, the announcement read "We're on YouTube now, follow me, kids". When we wanted to show customer trust, we gathered real comments into a design titled "My Grandchildren's Reviews" and closed it with "Ask someone who's tried it".
In another design we placed the restaurant's table inside the courtyard of a traditional Damascene house, with its fountain and trees, because food at Jeddo Abou Emad is not just a quick meal. It is a family gathering that recalls the old houses of Damascus.
How We Approach Shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus
Our approach to shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus starts from a simple fact: shawarma is available in almost every neighbourhood, so what makes people choose one restaurant is the taste first, and then the feeling the brand leaves behind. That is why we give each restaurant a personality people remember, and repeat it consistently in every post.
We rely on real photos of the food rather than stock images. Followers can tell the difference, and an honest photo shortens the distance between a post and an order. The content is spread across dish showcases, customer reviews, occasions and offers, supported by paid campaigns targeted at the neighbourhoods around the restaurant. In shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus, that trust is often what turns a follower into a regular.
We review performance regularly: which dishes get the most engagement, which times work best for posting, and which offers drive orders. Those reviews shape the plan month after month, and we see that as the essential success factor in any plan for shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus.
What Makes This Project Stand Out
The brand was born with us. Because our partnership began at launch, the personality, the language and the visual style were parts of one plan from day one, not separate additions to an existing brand. Shawarma itself has a long history in Levantine cooking, which you can read about on Wikipedia; our job is to present this familiar dish in a voice that belongs to this restaurant alone. It remains one of the clearest examples of shawarma restaurant marketing in Damascus in our portfolio.

About Almarai Aldemshkieh
Almarai Aldemshkieh is a dairy and cheese brand whose range includes labneh, cheese triangles, mozzarella, kashta cream and other products used in everyday breakfasts and in both Eastern and Western recipes.
Because dairy is on almost every table, competition in this category is not about price alone. It is about trust in quality and taste, and about the brand being top of mind for families at the moment of purchase.

Our work for Almarai Aldemshkieh: social media designs

Product photography

Messages from Almarai Aldemshkieh campaigns
Each product in the range carries a short message written in language close to the Syrian home. Labneh is presented as “your first choice”, the cheeses used in hot dishes with “every dish has a story of taste”, the cheese triangles as part of “a complete healthy meal”, and the whole morning table under “a healthy breakfast with Almarai Aldemshkieh”.
These messages do not stay as text on a design. They become a full scene: a hand spreading labneh on bread, mozzarella stretching between two halves of a fried stick, a breakfast table with tea, olives and vegetables. That way followers remember the line and the image together, and link the brand to a moment they live every day.
How we approach dairy brand marketing in Damascus
Our approach to dairy brand marketing in Damascus starts from the fact that a dairy product is bought with the eyes before it is tasted. So we place the product inside a dish people know: labneh on a breakfast table, kashta in qatayef, stretchy mozzarella in a hot dish, so followers see the pack in real use rather than just a picture of it.
We balance the content plan between three types of posts: a recipe that sparks appetite, useful information such as common dairy storage mistakes, and a post that presents the product directly. That mix keeps the page alive and builds trust over time, which we see as the foundation of any successful dairy brand marketing in Damascus today.
We regularly review how the audience responds to each type of post, doing more of what resonates and adjusting what does not, in both everyday content and paid campaigns. That keeps the plan flexible and lets it evolve with audience taste and with the seasons when dairy demand rises, such as Ramadan and the back-to-school period.
What sets this project apart
What stands out in the work with Almarai Aldemshkieh is educational content alongside promotional content. A post about storing dairy correctly serves the follower before the brand, and it aligns with the World Health Organization’s food safety guidance. That trust is what makes the difference in dairy brand marketing in Damascus, where packs look alike on the shelf.

About Shakarji Sweets
Shakarji specializes in Turkish meals and shawarma, Turkish sweets, and Arabic ice cream in a range of flavors. Every branch offers a full Turkish experience, from the music to the smallest details of the decor, and the dishes are known for their bold, rich flavors.
The brand runs three branches in Damascus: Al-Midan (Big 5 Mall), Kafr Sousa (Damascino Mall), and Mashrou Dummar (City Mart building). It also has branches in Qamishli, Iraq and the UAE, and takes part regularly in Global Village, Dubai.
Where we started
Our partnership began the day the shop opened. At that point, the brand owned a logo and nothing else. The task was to build a complete presence around it: one consistent visual language across the shop, the packaging and the printed materials, content that shows the quality and authentic taste of the food, and a digital presence that reaches families and adults, the brand's core audience.
What Dmantra delivered for Shakarji
Visual identity
We took the original logo and grew it into a full visual system of colors, type and ornaments that carries the brand's Turkish character and ties every branch and platform together under one look. See our brand identity service.
Print and packaging design
Dmantra designed all of Shakarji's printed materials: menus in different formats, sweets boxes and gift bags, Arabic ice cream cups, stickers, cards, and everything else the shop needs in print. Every piece carries the same identity, so an order leaves the shop looking like the brand, from the box to the bag. See our graphic design service.
Product photography and video
Our team runs professional photo shoots for the dishes and sweets, and produces every reel in-house, from the idea and the shoot through to the final edit. See our commercial video production service.
Social media and paid ads
We manage Shakarji's social media accounts and plan the paid campaigns that reach the brand's audience of families and adults. See our social media marketing service.
Content and copywriting
We write Shakarji's content in a formal yet friendly voice that suits families. It focuses on authentic taste and quality, and rotates through the dishes to show how wide the menu really is. See our content creation service.

How we approach restaurant marketing in Damascus
Our approach to restaurant marketing in Damascus starts from a simple observation: customers usually decide from the picture before they taste the dish. So we begin with the restaurant or sweets shop’s visual identity, then carry it into everything the customer touches, from the menu, box and bag to every post and paid ad, so the message stays the same in the shop and on screen.
For Shakarji, we brought photography, design, copywriting and campaign management under one team, for a brand with branches inside and outside Damascus. That integration shortens production time and gives the owner a single partner responsible for how the brand looks to its audience, which we see as the foundation of any successful restaurant marketing in Damascus today.
What sets this project apart
The work with Shakarji is built on consistency. The logo, the colors and the photography style look the same on the box, the menu, the shop front and every post, so customers recognize the brand before they read its name. We also made sure the imagery carries the Turkish atmosphere guests feel inside the shop, from the warm lighting to the way each dish is served. That consistency is what makes the difference in restaurant marketing in Damascus, where offers look alike and prices are close.
